Experienced Reception Shift Leader

Job Description

We now have an excellent opportunity for hospitality professional to join our five star team.  Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you will successfully assist in managing the Reception department.   You will be standards driven with excellent guest service skills.  You will also be a self starter and will clearly understand your work priorities.  
 
You must be able to:

  • Assist and enable the Reception Team to consistently deliver The Merrion standards and ensure the highest degree of guest care. 
  • Support the FOH management team through the effective and professional management of the reception team, in all aspects of their duties, creating and maintaining a strong motivational environment through positive communication and demonstrated commitment.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to lead, develop and mentor a team of people in delivering service excellence and provide training and support whilst demonstrating positive leadership skills.

You be confident in all aspects of guest relations, having direct guest contact, receiving and recognising VIP and regular guests who require special attention.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be self-motivated, standards driven and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Professional hospitality related qualification with previous experience within a quality hotel front of house department
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize & delegate
  • A good understanding of Opera, or equivalent
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, quality customer service
  • Ability to manage and participate in team projects
  • Previous Supervisory or Management experience an is essential


Shift work and flexibility is required in this position and you must be available to work for 39 hours per week.
