Like the elegant butterfly, The Merrion Hotel – one of Dublin’s true landmark hotels – is preparing to embark on an exciting transformation project.
Beginning in January 2015, and over the following twenty-six months, we will be working to greatly enhance our guest experience.
To give you just a flavour of our plans, they include a breathtaking new garden room restaurant, a revitalising thermal spa and relaxation suite and 12 new private residences.
Needless to say, we are very excited about what we are about to become. However, as with any change, there may be some momentary inconveniences for you, our valued guests. For instance, Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud will be closed periodically for lunch until January 2016 and for 12 weeks from August 15th 2016. However, please be assured that we are doing everything within our power to minimise any potential noise during this time.
Construction work will be strictly limited to the daylight hours. While the latest state-of-the-art screening will be used to muffle sound and conceal work in progress.
The Merrion Hotel, like all great hotels of the world, realises that change is necessary. But no matter how much we change physically, our commitment to our guests remains steadfastly the same.
